a2b Travel caters for pretty much all your travel needs. Has not only a database of cheap flights, but also links to airports as well as timetables of ferries, trains, coaches, you name it. Pretty much a one stop thing. Another good starting place are ebookers, which are less UK/US biased than a2b Travel. Lastminute.com offers a whole range of good deals. Irish Ryanair does very good deals on a limited range of destinations. Now you can book your tickets online. They are one of the few that do not penalize you for one-way flights. In 2001 the Easy group has started a very internet-unfriendly policy of claiming *any* domain that *contains* easy in its wording. I do therefore no longer encourage you to visit their site, let alone using their services. For more info go to easyprotest.com Another cheap airline is Easyjet. You get £1 off if you book via the net. British Airways has introduced a low cost airline called go. Here you can go to the booking page of BA Buzz offers cheap deal to a limited number of European Airports. Specializing in youth travel is Campustravel. They have a fare finder where you enter your destination, date, age and it tells you the cheapest fares. You still have to phone in to get details on taxes, though. The self declared "world leader in young independent travel", STA Travel, is also represented on the net. If you want to do some more shopping around for the best fare, try Travel Cuts, Bridge the World, or Check In Travel. Other places that promise to get you cheap flights are Flightbookers, Worldwide Journeys, and the Air Travel Advisory Bureau (what a name!) If you are heading for Italy, why not give Italways a try? If you happen to fly from Germany, try out one of these travel agents:
Travel
Overland, Travelland
or Tele
Travel. Columbus Direct is an insurer that specializes in travel insurances. Downunder Worldwide offers budget travel insurance for the Under 35's. Backpackers is another one specializing towards younger worldwide travellers. They are underwritten by Lloyd's. And then there is Atlas direct, promising to "get your holiday insurance for less" by "eliminating the middleman". |
